My thoughts today

I have had a typical busy day for me and just when you think you have time to sit down or time to catch a quick alone trip to the bathroom your quickly reminded that you have small children in the house when your child (Brooklyn) has poured liquid detergent in the carpet and Megan ( my oldest) decides today is the day to be very rebellious and throw a huge fit. All I wanted was to sit down for two minutes, but a moms work is never done. God blesses us with precious gifts and we are to take that gift seriously. The television can't teach them the way God intended, but I can try. My prayer today has been to have patience with them and remember what a blessing they are and how much The Lord has done and will do for us. When we get angry and frustrated we think we're entitled, but when a child does we automatically want to issue punishment. I have need reading a book by Nancy Demoss, Lies Women Believe and I think it would be a great book for all women to read! I as a parent has to remind myself that my girls get tired like I do and they need redirection when they get upset, but I do too when I don't want to pick up the living room for the sixth time or clean out the detergent in the floor when I could have been resting. God has given me these little challenges to remind me that I am the clay and he is the potter. I am still learning everyday and I am very thankful for all the trials he has sent my. We are to be thankful in the good times and in the bad times. In other words we are to be thankful no matter what situation arises.
